Join us for a career talk with chemical engineering alum Chris McDonald (Churchill 2000), now Labour MP for Stockton North.
Chris will share insights from a career in the steel industry, including a decade as CEO of the UK's national innovation centre for steel, to entering Parliament last year.
In his opening speech to Parliament, he said he wants to unite the worlds of engineering and politics.
Chris has since been appointed Parliamentary Private Secretary to the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero.
He is a Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering and the Institution of Chemical Engineers and is currently working to launch a fellowship in the memory of chemical engineer and MP Ashok Kumar.
