New PCs installed in Lecture Theatres 1, 2 & 3: What you need to know

We are pleased to announce that the new PCs in Lecture Theatres 1, 2 and 3 have now been successfully installed and are ready for use. As a reminder, to access these PCs, you will need to log in using your CRSID and Raven password via Blue.

What you should do before term starts:

If you anticipate needing these PCs, it’s a good idea to log in before term begins to ensure everything is working smoothly. This will give you time to address any login or setup issues beforehand.

While logging in, don't forget to complete your Microsoft authentication via your phone, which will enable access to your files, emails, and Teams if necessary.

Important account information:

Although the .\CEB-AV account is available for use, it is not recommended for general use. We strongly encourage you to always log in with your own account for a more secure and personalized experience.

Reminder: AD logon deactivation countdown – Two months remaining

Please be aware that in two months, the AD logon will be switched off across all applicable machines. Starting from December, any PCs still configured for AD logon will no longer be accessible using your AD account. This applies to Lecture Theatre PCs, Lab PCs, and equipment PCs.

What you need to do:

• Book your PC with IT as soon as possible to ensure they can be switched over to the Blue system before the deadline.
• Any data stored on machines using AD logon will likely become inaccessible after the change, so make sure to back up any important files.
• Check the login screen: If "AD" is displayed, the PC still needs to be switched. If "BLUE" is displayed, your PC has already been successfully migrated.
