A team of researchers from Murray Edwards College are conducting crucial research into how experiences of the teaching, learning and/ or research environment may influence mental health and wellbeing in Cambridge students. Currently, no data exist on this. The study is looking for undergraduates and postgraduates from all subjects to complete their online survey, the results of which will be used to make recommendations to the University on students’ needs in these areas.

The team is also looking for women and non-binary students to take part in 60-to-90-minute focus groups, to help gain a deeper understanding of how experiences of the teaching, learning, and research environment relates to wellbeing for these students. Focus group participants will be paid £15 for their time.

Participation in the study is confidential and anonymous. This project has received ethical approval from the Cambridge Centre for Teaching and Learning (ref: 2024.MT.75 Imrie & Lysons)
