The CEB Conference 2025 will be held in person at the department on the 19 and 20 June. It is a valuable opportunity for you to showcase your research, gain feedback from your peers, and enhance your presentation skills.
Participation
Participation in the conference is mandatory for all 2nd and 3rd year PhD students, and optional for 1st year PhD students, as set out below:
• All 3rd- and final-year PhD students are required to give a talk/oral presentation.
(10 minutes – approximately 8 min. presentation with 2 min. for Q&A).
• All 2nd year students (including students with starting date in Lent 2022) are required to present a poster.
(The poster should be A0 portrait and some options on printing posters can be found here and here).
• All 1st year and visiting students are invited to present a poster.
• Students who gave a talk last year are not required to present again.
Please note that abstracts are required for both the posters and talks (all 2nd & 3rd year students).
Submission
To submit an abstract, please follow this link and the instructions below:
• Use your Cam email address (other email addresses will not work).
• Complete all sections on the form.
• Abstracts must be submitted following the attached Word document template - other templates/formats will not be accepted.
The deadline for abstract submission is 1st May 2025. Late submissions will not be accepted.
Participation
This conference is an in-person event and is mandatory for 2nd and 3rd year PhD students. If you are unable to attend the conference, you must let us know by sending an email to cebconference@ceb.cam.ac.uk, copying in your PhD supervisor.
